guys are beginning to clear after a wet and windy tuesday. >> a live look at the radar things are beginning to clear out after it ran for most of the day. our weather team says there will be a difference in the weather tomorrow. we will look at where the rain is now. clucks it has been a bit of a rainy day. here is a batch that has left around annapolis. because of the southeasterly wind, you can see it is bringing in the the waters of the bay. there is a coastal flood warning for annapolis where the tides could be a couple of feet above average. there are some lingering showers on the mountains of west virginia. by and large, this is about it. that is in some areas about one quarter to a half-inch of rain. from here on in, we will be dry.

the assistant coach who claims he witnessed sandusky abusing a bully. when the accuser known as victim number one took the stand he wept repeatedly along with jurors while describing in graphic detail alleged acts of abuse that he says started when he was 11 years old. the crimes unfolded during sleepovers at jerry sandusky's home. he said -- >> when he tells this story, as he walks off he got very emotional. >> the accuser's attorney responded. the defense team pointed out inconsistencies in the accuser's accounts, specifically how many times declined to be abused. >> what he said was that there were times that out of fear --

judge about a couple's finances during the bond hearing. she faces one count of perjury. the bond was revoked in connection to that part of the case. both are now in jail. >> we are following a developing story out of northeast washington tonight. an elderly man was rushed into surgery after being mauled by two dogs. the 74-year-old man was walking to the metro at 7:00 this morning when two dogs got loose from a towing lot. witnesses say the 100-pound animals were vicious and even tore his shoes off and were biding his feet. >> by the time i got outside i could see the dogs pull this individual down on the ground and was biting him everywhere. >> the towing company owners were given two $50 citations.

more serious charges could follow. >> a maryland delegate has been charged of misdemeanor theft and misconduct in office. the democrat was found guilty of paying an employee in her law office about a hundred dollars in funds. the jury returned a verdict this morning. deliberations began yesterday afternoon. she is also accused in a separate case of using campaign funds to help pay for a wedding. >> the d.c. council is expected to elect an interim chair tomorrow. the enteron chair will replace kwame brown for resigned last week. a special election will be held in november to elect a permanent chair. >> it is primary day in virginia. the big graces the race for the

are back to the sunshine. i wanted to show you this picture from richard barn hill. a lone rainbow. i thought it was nice to see. a sign of our future of things to come. outside right now here in northwest washington and arlington, we are breaking out into a bit of sunshine. one little batch of rainshowers yet to come. less than one-quarter of an inch. most areas especially you folks out towards martinsburg over a half-inch in some places. here is where some of the cool air is. look at minneapolis. as we get this little wave in the atmosphere going by as, we will really begin to clear out. look at the dry air around chicago right now.

let me take you out. there is nothing out there. there is one area of clouds passing ascendancy how much of the central united states is clear. i wanted to show you what is going on. there is one batch of rainshowers that came through us. the other batch is still up to the west. that will be probably something we have to keep an eye on. there are some thundershowers that will be dissipating. others through the south of the carolinas. those will be staying away. the bigger picture, there is the dry air. as we go through the nighttime hours. once that goes away and takes with it the rain showers and to the northwesterly winds. you will be notice a little bit of a northeasterly wind it. by the time we get into thursday that could bring in some clouds. will be refreshing air. low humidity with temperatures

>> for golf fans the u.s. open is set to open on thursday. the marquee matchup, phil mickelson, tiger woods, and bubba watson will see off. it looked like tiger injured his back. there was definitely a hitch in his giddy-up. what a scary moment for tiger was with all the health problems he has had the last several years. he has one two times this year already and vegas has made him the favorite at this open. you can get five-one odds on tiger. but is 40-1. -- bubba is 40-1.
